This program was a program for students. It was broadcasted in the Kansai area. We had a chance to appearance on TV and to spread our project and synthetic biology. We discussed our project, synthetic biology, safety of genetically modified foods with the cast. It was very valuable time for us to have a discussion with them.

This program is a Japanese evening news. It has a small segment called of ZERO human, which ZERO human focuses bright people.We were introduced as the key people in the future of synthetic biology. Our project was introduced as innovative to preserve of foods. The program also introduced synthetic biology in general.

This program was a Japanese morning news Our project was introduced as the latest technology for food preservation method. Through trial and error, we transferred the gene that produces antimicrobial volatile gaseous substances into E.coli. Our “FLAVORATOR” can preserve food without consuming power or electric energy.
Nippon Television Network Corporation ”THE MOST USEFUL SCHOOL IN THE WORLD”
This is a Japanese entertainment TV. And the program imitates experts give lectures classroom environments, and in this program to a group of show business people. One day the program picked up how to prevent mold as a topic partly. Our project was introduced as a method of food preservation using fragrance that was made through synthetic biology techniques.

We were interviewed by various media last year. Thanks to that, we were able to have a chance to spreading synthetic biology, iGEM and our project.We hope to make synthetic biology, iGEM, and our project more wide spread.
